This week, I had wonderful help from Amber and Clay who volunteer with the World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. We formed a wagon train of equipment and bee boxes (or supers).
Joy of joys, we found two queens in the current hives. Both WWOOFer volunteers were thrilled to see a queen laying eggs in the hive. We returned with hope for honey this year.
I could not take a photo of the queen, however you can see a sample photo here of a queen laying eggs.
