About Goat Yoga Instructor Lauren Elizabeth Laughlin
Lauren found yoga after shattering her ankle in a car accident in 2006. When she was finally back on her feet three months after her accident, her surgeon suggested yoga as a way to restore strength and flexibility to her damaged ankle. Lauren found that not only did yoga help her manage her injuries, but it did a lot to calm her mind around daily stressors and started to change her worldview. She began to see that more than just exercises or stretches, yoga is a way of interacting with the world around us that promotes joy and non-harm. After being a daily practitioner for several years, she was certified to teach in 2012. Lauren is has achieved her 500hr certification with Moksha Yoga and currently leads classes at Ahimsa Yoga Studio. She is additionally certified in Prenatal Yoga, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Restorative Yoga.
